Akkerman Fortress
The fortress was built on the site of a Greek settlement named Thira. This place is listed among the seven wonders of Ukraine. The fortress has seen princes of Kyivan Rus, Hungarian kings walked there, and the walls still keep the spirit of Galicia-Volyn era. Currently, anyone can feel the spirit of history within the walls of the fortress. It is opened for tours. Tunnel of love in Klevan
One of the most romantic places of Ukraine, which attracts all newly married couples and people in love. Railway begins in Klevan and comes to Orzhiv. The location is also interesting for setting various photo shoots and filming movies.

Askania Nova
This reserve belongs to world heritage. Situated on 11 thousand hectares, it represents over 400 species of flora. The park is also interesting due to a nice pond in the center. Askania Nova has also got a small zoo with unique animal species. Here, you can meet zebras, South American camels, antelopes and deer. Emus, rhea and many other unique species live in cages.

Shatsk Lakes
The list would be incomplete without such interesting and amazing place like Schatsk lakes. They are situated in Volyn region and are considered one of the deepest reservoirs in Ukraine. Aktovskyi Canyon
A place similar to the Grand Canyon is located near the town of Voznesensk. This unique combination of waterfalls and ponds. Canyon area of over 250 hectares has unique microclimate. It is a favorite place for tourists, which grasps by its sheer cliffs and boulders. Nowadays, Canyon is a part of a national park “Buzkyi Gard”.

Dead Sea
Few people know that there is also the Dead Sea in Ukraine. This is an alternative name of Lemuriiske lake situated in Kherson region. Water surface has unique shade – it is pink. And besides, the salinity is even higher than in genuine Dead Sea.

Ukrainian Sahara
Oleshkivski sands are a large desert. It stretches for over 1,612 square kilometers and is located near Kherson. This place is rightly considered the Sahara since the sand temperature in summer hot days is higher than 75 ° C. Ukrainian Sahara is located at 7 sites, two of which became a park in 2010.

Ukrainian Venice

Medzhybizh Castle
The castle is located near Khmelnytskyi. It has an alternative name – “White Swan”, and it occupies the area of over 1 ha. Originally, the fortress was built of wood, but during the Mongol-Tatar invasions it was destroyed. No one knows who rebuilt it again. The fortress has triangular shape, and wall thickness reaches 4 m. It is one of the few Ukrainian castles that survived in its original form. Inside, as it is common among real castles, there is a maze of corridors and rooms.

Galagans’ Palace in Sokyryntsi
This estate belonged to Galagan, who was the head of Cossack troops. The palace has survived and is a shining example of Ukrainian architecture.
This is a unique castle that consists of 60 rooms. Impressive splendor and gardens with decorative pavilions, benches, a church and a tomb. There is also a gallery behind the palace walls.
