Myroslav Skoryk will present a concert in Lviv
On May 13 in Lviv will host the premiere of the Concerto for Cello and Orchestra №2, created by the Artist of Ukraine Skoryk, who is an outstanding Ukrainian composer and conductor.
Jozef Herminia (piano) and Alexander Piriyev (cello) will perform music accompanied by the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the National Radio Company of Ukraine.
The concert will include works by Paganini for orchestra in Skoryk’s processing and composition of musicians of XIX-XX centuries – Claude Debussy, Maurice Revel and George Gershwin.
The event will take place in the framework of the French Spring, to be exact in the context of the project “Three “C”: Skoryk – Silvestrov – Stankovych”, combining works of the Titans of contemporary academic Ukrainian music.
The premiere of the concert will be held at the Lviv Opera House, and then it will be performed in Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Kharkiv.
Myroslav Skoryk is an outstanding composer and musicologist, winner of the most prestigious titles for contribution to Ukrainian culture. He is the creator of numerous musical works, among which is well-known “Melody” and the opera “Moses”.
1987 Myroslav Skoryk was awarded with the Shevchenko’s Prize for the Concerto for Cello and Orchestra №1.
