Kyiv hosts International Festival of Traditional Culture “EtnoWorld”
On the May 22nd will be the last day of “EtnoWorld”. The event brought together musicians and masters of various crafts from Belarus, Georgia, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine.
The festival was opened Georgian vocal group in the product of the art of polyphonic singing. UNESCO has classified this unique form of singing to the intangible cultural heritage of the world.
The festival “EtnoWorld” includes exhibitions, film screenings, concerts of folk singing and dance ensembles, including the Estonian group EstoKihn, which presented the folklor of the island of Kihnu, in southern Estonia.
A separate festival program called “Space clay” is dedicated to the art of pottery, in which are professional potters master classes. Also, an exhibition of ancient pottery found during excavations on the territory of Ukraine.
Festival visitors learn to make motanki dolls, create embroidery and attached to the studies of traditional dances of different nations.
Masters from different regions of Ukraine present their products at the fair, “Man-made”, and familiar with the process for their manufacture.
“EtnoWorld” festival is held in the capital’s “Mystetskom Arsenal.”
