Zlata Ognevich sang the Crimean Tatar language
Ukrainian singer Zlata Ognevich sang in the Crimean Tatar language at one of the concerts. She sang the folk song “Hey, Guzel Qırım”. The singer dedicated to her memory in 1944, the victims of deportation.
As is known, the Ukrainian singer childhood lived in Sudak (Crimea), and knew very well that song. “I sang it as felt … Melody and lyrics are beautiful and tragic at the same time, it’s all about the country, we have lost, and human misery …” – wrote the singer on her Facebook page.
Ognevich is also stressed that she knows a lot of personal stories and family tragedies associated with the deportation. I have performed the song she wanted to express my personal support for the Crimean Tatars, who have always been among her friends and family, and among whom she grew up. “At all times, the huge power of love to the motherland, to the roots, helps hold together the Crimean Tatars, – the singer says. – Know, brothers, we, Ukrainians, we are with you. “
