The country’s first monument to the people of the Victory was opened in Kyiv

There was not no monuments to veterans in our country till today. Especially by May 9th was the opening of the monument “People of Victory”. Sculpture of two war veterans in dress uniform with medals and flowers in their hands.

Sculptor Alexander Morgatsky depicted the real heroes, past the horrors of war – Anna Kolomiytseva radio operator and pilot Ivan Selifonova.

The monument was erected on the avenue in the park of the Victory in Kiev. Anyone can lay flowers and to thank the veterans who are near – who need support and care.
