The names of 11 streets and avenues will be changed in the capital
In Kiev are being collected signatures for renaming of 11 streets and avenues within decommunisation. Kikvidze Street is proposed to rename in honor of the Ukrainian artist Mikhail Boychuk, and the streets Mykola Skrypnyk on Solomenko named after one of the most famous Ukrainian translators Nicholas Lukas.
Also, the commission and the Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance offer to commemorate ATO hero, head of the International peacekeeping battalion named after Johar Dudayev, Isa Munayev, who died in defense of Debaltsevo. In honor of him will be renamed the street of Nikolai Lebedev.
The name of Kotovsky street will also change and the lane of Baku Commissars – they renamed in honor of UNR Vladimir de Sales and St. Basil Sukhenko Army military figures. Also will be renamed Pavel Dybenko Street and Pavlik Morozov, which will get the names of prominent Ukrainian archeologists Ivan and Anna Shovkoplyas.
Also recall that the Kyiv City State Administration endorsed the renaming of the Moscow avenue in honor of Stepan Bandera.
