Owners of dogs of fighting breeds may carry criminal responsibility

On the site of the Administration of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko were recorded electronic petitions from citizens who asked the President of Ukraine “to support the introduction of criminal liability of the initiative for owners of dogs of fighting breeds , which can pose a threat to human life and health.”

The initiator of the petition was Kissel Oksana Dmitrievna. She argues that it is necessary to criminalize the dog owner responsible for death threats with the help of fighting dogs and dog in the event of injury or death of a person.

According to Oksana Kissel there should be introduced compulsory registration of fighting dogs, and if the owner has no official registration – dog needs to be taken to a shelter. Another requirement is a compulsory psychological examination of the dog owner.

The activist says that these things can save a life and beauty of each child.
