Performance for the Human Rights Day in Kiev
December 10, International Human Rights Day, at the theater “Ladybird” will take place the premiere of the famous Ukrainian film director Vera Yakovenko «Feminae Damnatum» (lat. Women convicts), dedicated to the fate of women condemned to long and life sentences in Kachanovsky colony.
“The play is very emotional, the viewer will get the opportunity to spy on the lives of the convicts, to see them as women and mothers. After stumble, they often do not understand how to live and what to do. The performance is an attempt to suggest that they have an opportunity to learn, develop new skills and professions, being in prison. In any situation, there is an opportunity to rethink their lives and inner liberation “, – says Lyudmila Kirilenko, the producer of the play.
