A special book for special kids
On May 12, at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine a presentation was held of the necessary social book “Two grandmothers in an unusual school or treasure in a wheelchair” by Larisa Nitsa.
The theme of disability is acute and in our society. We are talking about people’s socialization and adaptation of healthy people to the presence in our lives of people with special needs.
The book “Two grandmothers in an unusual school or treasure in a wheelchair ” is special because at the first time in Ukrainian literature of children with disabilities received the protagonist, like them, a boy in a wheelchair.

The ceremony visited Paralympic champion Svetlana Trifonova and talented dancer in a wheelchair Valery Bevzyuk.
Also Palestinian Ambassador in Ukraine Mohammed Qasim Al-Asaad visited this event, as well as public figures: Anna Malyar, Olga Redzyuk, Alla Ratushnaya, Alice Petrik, Olga Kolesnikova, Elena Faysa, Julia Voltchkova, Elena Grebenyuk and more than 200 children!
Famous British painter Elina Ellis illustrated book and publishing house “Summit Book” issued it. Recently in Europe, the foreign author’s book on this subject has received a lot of publicity.
Deputies Oleg Lyashko, Denis Silant’ev, Aleksey Kirichenko and Andrey Lozovoy talked with children and the main organizers were: social activist, author of Ukrainian project Help Sport Inna Silanteva and founder of the “Summit Book” Ivan Stepurin and led presentation Vilena Voronov and Sergei Kostecki.
